BoPin 220 All-Weather Window & Door Silicone Sealant

BoPin 220 is a single-component, neutral-cure oxime silicone sealant specifically formulated for window and door installation and perimeter sealing applications. It cures at room temperature upon exposure to atmospheric moisture, forming a durable, weather-resistant rubber seal that accommodates the thermal and structural movement typical of window and door systems. The non-corrosive cure chemistry makes it safe for use on aluminium frames, powder-coated metals and most common window construction materials, while the non-sag formula ensures clean, precise application on vertical joints.

Yüzey Hazırlığı — Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, old sealant and loose material. Remove any existing weatherstripping that may contaminate the bond surface.
Uygulama — Cut cartridge tip at 45°, load into sealant gun and apply with steady, even pressure into the joint. Tool immediately using a wet spatula within the working time to achieve a smooth, concave finish.
Curing — Allow to cure at room temperature with adequate ventilation. Avoid rain or water contact for at least 24 hours. Full mechanical properties develop after 7 days.
Temizlemek — Remove uncured sealant with a solvent before skin formation. Cured sealant must be removed mechanically.

Limitations

Not suitable for structural glazing or load-bearing applications
Not recommended for movement exceeding ±20%
Not recommended for continuous water immersion or aquarium construction
Not recommended for use in fully enclosed, unventilated spaces
Not recommended for polycarbonate or plastic sheet substrates
Not recommended for surfaces containing plasticiser or solvent residues
Do not apply when substrate temperature is below 4°C or above 40°C

İpuçları

For window installations in climates with large temperature swings, ensure joint width is designed to accommodate the full thermal movement range
Apply masking tape along both sides of the joint before application for clean, precise lines — remove tape immediately after tooling, before skin forms
Although neutral-cure, this product uses oxime chemistry — ensure adequate ventilation during application in enclosed spaces
Always conduct a compatibility and adhesion test on actual project substrates before full application
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
