BoPin 790 Fire-Rated Silicone Sealant

BoPin 790 is a single-component, neutral-cure, high-performance silicone sealant with outstanding fire-retardant properties. It remains transparent in flame, does not support combustion, and self-extinguishes immediately upon removal of the ignition source — achieving UL94 V-0 flame retardant classification. The product cures at room temperature upon exposure to atmospheric moisture, forming a durable, flexible rubber that bonds reliably to glass, aluminium, steel, stone and most common building materials without primer. Suitable for fire door and window sealing, curtain wall fire-stop banding, electronic and electrical component flame-retardant sealing, and moisture-resistant sealing in public spaces where fire safety is a primary requirement.

Подготовка поверхности — Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and old sealant residues. For fire door and curtain wall applications, verify that joint dimensions comply with the relevant fire-rated system design.
Приложение — Cut cartridge tip at 45°, load into sealant gun and apply with steady, even pressure into the joint. Tool within the working time using a wet spatula.
Затвердевание — Allow to cure at room temperature with adequate ventilation. Full mechanical properties develop after 7 days.
Cleanup — Remove uncured sealant with a solvent before skin formation. Cured sealant must be removed mechanically.

Not suitable for structural load-bearing applications

Not suitable for use in sealed, unventilated spaces or in direct contact with food or drinking water
Not suitable for bonding copper or copper alloy components — copper ions inhibit cure
Not suitable for surfaces containing plasticiser or solvent residues
Do not apply when substrate temperature is below 4°C or above 40°C
