BoPin 270 Low-Expansion Window & Door Foam

BoPin 270 is a single-component, moisture-curing polyurethane expanding foam specifically engineered for professional window and door installation. Unlike standard expanding foams, the low-pressure formula expands gently to fill the gap between frame and rough opening without generating the internal pressure that causes frame distortion or warping. The result is a thermally insulating, acoustically dampening, airtight seal that protects frame alignment and maintains smooth window and door operation over the long term. Specially formulated for year-round installation from 0°C to +35°C, it is particularly well suited to the climatic conditions of the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa.

Preparation — Verify frame is level, plumb and square before foaming. Clean all surfaces of dust, grease and debris. Lightly mist substrate with water to accelerate cure. Shake can vigorously for at least 30 seconds.
Приложение — Attach professional foam gun to can. Hold can inverted and apply foam in a continuous bead, filling the gap to approximately 60–70% capacity. Allow foam to expand naturally — do not overfill.
Curing and Trimming — Foam is tack-free within 8–10 minutes. Trim excess with a sharp knife after 30–35 minutes. Allow full cure for 12 hours before applying any covering sealant or finishing materials.
Cleanup — Remove uncured foam immediately with PU foam cleaner. Cured foam must be removed mechanically.

Limitations

Must be applied in well-ventilated areas — wear protective gloves and safety glasses during application
Do not use near open flames or ignition sources during application
Not suitable for polystyrene foam insulation boards — solvent may cause damage
Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE or silicone surfaces
Not suitable for continuous water immersion or underwater applications
Not suitable for structural load-bearing applications
Do not store cans inverted or on their side
Do not incinerate or puncture used cans
Not suitable for fire-rated penetration sealing — use BoPin 730 for fire-rated applications

For best results, use a professional foam gun rather than a disposable straw applicator — gun application provides precise flow control and consistent output
Store cans at 18–25°C before use for optimal yield — cold cans produce reduced foam volume
Monitor frame alignment during the first 30 minutes after application and adjust if necessary before foam reaches cutting stage
Always cover cured foam with sealant, paint or plaster when exposed to UV — uncovered foam will yellow and degrade over time
Clean foam gun immediately after use with PU foam cleaner to extend equipment life
