BoPin 820 Multi-Purpose Construction Adhesive

BoPin 820 is a single-component, moisture-curing MS polymer adhesive and sealant formulated for general construction bonding and sealing applications across a wide range of substrates. Based on modified silane polymer technology, it cures at room temperature to form a strong, flexible rubber with excellent adhesion to concrete, glass, aluminium, stainless steel, aluminium composite panel, ceramic and timber — typically without primer. The medium-hardness cured body provides a good balance of bond strength and flexibility suitable for general construction joints, panel installation and bonding applications where a versatile, paintable, solvent-free adhesive is required.

Preparación de la superficie — Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose material. For best results on smooth non-porous surfaces such as glass and polished metal, wipe with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry before application.
Aplicación — Cut cartridge tip at 45°, load into sealant gun and apply with steady, even pressure. For bonding applications, apply in parallel beads or a serpentine pattern to the bonding surface. Press components together firmly within the skin formation time.
Curing — Allow to cure at room temperature with adequate ventilation. Avoid disturbing bonded components for at least 24 hours. Full mechanical properties develop after 7 days.
Limpieza — Remove uncured product with a suitable solvent before skin formation. Cured product must be removed mechanically.

Limitations

Not suitable for PE, PP or PTFE surfaces
No apto para inmersión continua en agua
No apto para aplicaciones de acristalamiento estructural
Not suitable for surfaces containing plasticiser or solvent residues
Do not apply when substrate temperature is below 4°C or above 40°C

Consejos

The medium hardness (Shore A 55) and good elongation (220%) make this product well suited for general construction bonding and sealing — for high-strength structural panel bonding where tensile strength above 3.0 MPa is required, consider BoPin 850
For ACP panel installation, apply adhesive beads at regular intervals across the panel back — bead spacing and pattern should be determined by panel size and wind load requirements
Paintability is a key advantage — allow full cure before applying paint for best adhesion results
Store cartridges upright in a cool, dry location away from heat and direct sunlight
