BoPin 380 Weather-Resistant Facade Sealant

BoPin 380 is a single-component, neutral-cure oxime silicone sealant formulated specifically for curtain wall and building facade weatherproofing applications. formulated to the highest performance tier of neutral-cure weatherproof silicone technology, it delivers exceptional elasticity, movement capability and long-term resistance to UV radiation, ageing and extreme temperature fluctuations. The non-sag thixotropic formula maintains its position on vertical facade joints without slumping, and the product bonds reliably to powder-coated metals, glass, coated glass, ceramic tiles, aluminium composite panels and masonry — the full range of materials encountered in modern facade systems. Supplied in 590ml sausage packs for professional contractor efficiency.

Main Benefits
  • High movement capability — ±30% accommodates significant thermal and structural movement in facade systems
  • Exceptional elasticity — elongation at break ≥400%, maintains seal integrity under repeated joint cycling
  • Outstanding UV resistance — resists ageing, yellowing and degradation from prolonged solar exposure
  • Stable performance from -50°C to +170°C — suitable for extreme climate markets including Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa
  • Non-sag thixotropic formula — maintains position on vertical and overhead joints without slumping
  • Excellent adhesion to powder-coated metals, glass, coated glass, ceramic tiles, aluminium composite panels and masonry
  • Meets GB/T 14683-2017 standard — high-end certified silicone series

  • Surface Preparation — Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, old sealant residues and loose coatings. Clean metal surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry completely before application.
  • Application — Cut cartridge tip at 45°, load into sealant gun and apply with steady, even pressure into the joint. Tool within the working time using a spatula dampened with soapy water. Apply masking tape for clean professional joint lines.
  • Curing — Allow to cure at room temperature with adequate ventilation. Avoid rain or water contact for at least 24 hours. Full mechanical properties develop after 7 days.
  • Cleanup — Remove uncured sealant with a solvent before skin formation. Cured sealant must be removed mechanically.
Limitations
  • Not suitable for structural glazing or primary structural assembly
  • Not recommended for movement exceeding ±30%
  • Not recommended for continuous water immersion or aquarium construction
  • Not recommended for use in fully enclosed, unventilated spaces
  • Not recommended for surfaces containing plasticiser or solvent residues
  • Do not apply when substrate temperature is below 4°C or above 40°C
Tips
  • For facade joints subject to high thermal cycling — particularly in desert and continental climates — ensure joint width is designed to keep actual movement within the ±30% capability
  • Apply masking tape along both sides of the joint for clean, precise lines — remove immediately after tooling before skin forms
  • Although neutral-cure, this product uses oxime chemistry — ensure adequate ventilation during application in enclosed or interior spaces
  • Always conduct a compatibility and adhesion test on actual project substrate combinations before full application
  • For joints requiring movement capability above ±30%, please contact us for product recommendations suited to your specific application.
