High-performance polyurethane sealant with excellent fire resistance for sealing joints in fire-rated construction elements. Maintains both elasticity and fire barrier properties, providing up to 4 hours of fire resistance while accommodating building movement.

Surface Preparation:

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose particles
Use BoPin PR-140 Universal Primer for optimal adhesion
Ensure joint dimensions conform to tested fire-rated configurations
Remove all combustible materials from joint area

Application Method:

Cut cartridge tip at 45° angle for desired bead size
Apply with standard sealant gun with even pressure
Fill joint completely without air pockets
Tool with wet spatula within 20 minutes of application
Clean uncured product with BoPin PU Cleaner

Joint Design:

Wall-to-Wall Joints: 10-30mm width, minimum depth equal to half the width
Wall-to-Floor Joints: 10-30mm width, minimum depth of 10mm
Floor-to-Floor Joints: 10-30mm width, minimum depth of 10mm
Backing Materials:
- - Use only approved fire-rated backing materials (mineral wool or ceramic fiber)
  - Standard PE backing rods are not suitable for fire-rated applications
  - Backing density should be minimum 40 kg/m³ for mineral wool
Fire Rating vs. Joint Width Correlation:
- - 10-15mm width: Up to 4 hours fire rating possible
  - 16-20mm width: Up to 3 hours fire rating possible
  - 21-30mm width: Up to 2 hours fire rating possible

Limitations

Installation must strictly follow tested and approved configurations
Not suitable for PE, PP, Teflon, and permanent water immersion
Not for use in joints subject to heavy traffic
Not recommended for structural glazing applications
Not for use in swimming pools or food contact areas
Not suitable for direct UV exposure in exterior applications
