Surface Preparation:

Ensure stone surfaces are completely clean, dry and dust-free
Clean joints with alcohol-based cleaner without additives
Allow surface to dry completely before application
For polished stone, protect adjacent areas with masking tape

Application Method:

Cut cartridge tip at 45° angle for desired bead size
Apply with even pressure using professional sealant gun
Fill joint completely without air pockets
Tool within 10 minutes using dry tooling or minimal tooling solution
Remove masking tape immediately after tooling

Joint Design:

For countertop joints: Ensure minimum 3mm gap for thermal expansion
For areas with significant temperature variations, use wider joints
Use backing rod or bond breaker tape to prevent three-sided adhesion
Minimum joint width: 6mm
Maximum joint width: 30mm
Optimal width-to-depth ratio: 2:1

Limitation

Not suitable for PE, PP, Teflon, and bituminous surfaces
Not recommended for structural glazing or underwater applications
Cannot be painted (use BoPin MS-240 for paintable applications)
Not suitable for joints subject to heavy traffic or abrasion
Not for continuous water immersion applications

Application

For perfect color matching with specific stone, request custom color options for larger projects
Always perform test application on inconspicuous area of actual stone being used
For best results on polished stone, apply masking tape before sealing and remove immediately after tooling
In wet area installations, ensure joint is fully cured before water exposure
For outdoor stone applications, slightly wider joints are recommended to accommodate thermal movement
