Surface Preparation:

  • Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and old sealant residues
  • Remove all traces of mold, mildew, and soap residue with appropriate cleaner
  • Allow surface to dry completely before application

 

Application Method:

  • Cut cartridge tip at 45° angle for desired bead width
  • Apply with even pressure using standard sealant gun
  • Create a continuous bead without gaps or air pockets
  • Tool within 5-10 minutes using a wet spatula or wet finger
  • Remove excess immediately with BoPin Cleaning Wipes

 

Joint Design:

  • Ensure minimum 5mm bead around sanitary fixtures
  • For corner joints, apply in triangular bead to maximize contact with both surfaces
  • For larger joints, use backing material to control sealant depth
  • For optimal mold resistance, ensure complete filling of joint without voids

Limitation

  • Not suitable for PE, PP, Teflon, and bituminous surfaces
  • Not recommended for aquariums or continuous water immersion
  • Cannot be painted (use BoPin MS-240 for paintable applications)
  • Not for structural glazing or applications with prolonged direct water pressure

Application

  • For maximum mold resistance, ensure bathroom is well-ventilated
  • In shower applications, allow 24 hours curing time before exposing to water
  • Clean sealed areas regularly with mold-resistant cleaner to extend service life
  • For shower track applications, fill the track completely with sealant for best results
  • Avoid contact with silicone while wet as it may affect curing process
